Exams

The next exams will take place in May, check back for more details!

On the examination day the children will have to dance in front of an independent assessor from the UKA who will mark them on their dance technique. They will dance in groups of 3-4 pupils with one of the ActiveDance teachers present.

For our 7-16 year-old pupils, examinations are available in both disco and street dance.

For our younger members they start what is called Uni Ted. Each pupil will receive a plaque and each time they take an examination they get a coloured badge to add to their plaque (one street dance and one disco dance exam can be taken each time the examiner comes). However the children are still assessed individually and receive a comment card and a certificate. Pre-school children will take the Uni Ted 12 and Reception and Year 1 children will take the Uni Ted 6.
